What's selling right now
This week's scan turned up five categories where the gap between what you pay and what buyers will pay is wide enough to matter. Cricut machines and discontinued sealed fragrances are both moving quietly at thrift and estate prices while online buyers pay nearly double. Vintage Seiko chronographs and divers are outpacing their median by 70%, and the right vintage receiver — think Marantz or Pioneer flagship — can return three to five times your buy-in. Then there's Kenner Star Wars: the median alone is $182, but a single vinyl-cape Jawa on a 12-back card just comped at over a thousand dollars.
Cricut Machines ~$92
Cricut machines currently sell around $92 at the median; Maker and Explore Air 3 models clear $155 — a 1.7× lift over the median.
Discontinued Fragrance ~$50
Discontinued fragrances currently sell around $50 at the median; sealed, discontinued Bath & Body Works and niche bottles clear $96 — roughly a 1.9× lift over the median.
Vintage Seiko Watches ~$97
Vintage Seiko currently sells around $97 at the median; 6139 chronograph and diver variants clear $169 — a 1.7× lift over the median.
Vintage Stereo Receivers ~$90
Vintage stereo receivers sell around $90 at the median; Marantz 2270 and Pioneer SX-1250 units clear $300–$500 — a 3–5× lift over the median.
Kenner Vintage Star Wars ~$182
Kenner Star Wars figures currently sell around $182 at the median across our scan sample; a vinyl-cape Jawa on a 12-back card has a documented sold comp at $1,057 — a 5.8× lift over the median — while a cloth-cape Jawa MOC on a 12-back trades around $246.
